1.Downloading SP Pro
1. Download SP Pro (MT4) software. If you have not done so yet, please complete the form.
2. Once you have completed the form, select DOWNLOAD SP Pro PLATFORM.
3. Run the SPmarketsMT4setup.exe file and select ‘Yes’ when the dialogue box appears.
4. Select your desired language from the drop-down menu.
5. Click ‘Next’ as you read and proceed through the SP Pro Setup Wizard.
6. Click ‘I Agree’ upon finishing reading the Agreement.
7. Click ‘Browse’ if you wish to change the destination where the SP Pro will be installed. Otherwise, just click ‘Install’ and then ‘Finish’ once the complete screen appears.
2.First Login to SP Pro
Upon opening SP Pro for the first time, it will prompt you to open an account. Then you can create your account.
Fill in your personal details.
‘Account Type’ refers to the trading currency. In the demo version, only four currencies are available.
Check the ‘I agree’ box and the ‘Next’ button will become available.
The next window will ask you to choose your trading server. Select ‘SP markets-Live’.
Click ‘Next’ and the Registration completion page will appear.
Make sure you record your login and password details. Then click ‘Finish’.
Login to SP Pro
Upon completing the installation, you will be prompted to log in.
Login: the Login ID which will be provided by SP after the application is approval.
Password: the Password which will be provided by SP after the application is completed.
Server: depending on your account type, simply select the Live Server for Live Accounts (and the Demo Server for Demo Accounts).
4.Trading with SP Pro
Viewing the MetaTrader Workspace.
The MetaTrader workspace contains all of the features and charts you need to trade.
At the top of the workspace, you’ll see the MetaTrader menu bar. You can use seven options in the menu bar to manage windows and other tools while you trade.
MetaTrader groups is the most common useful tools. If they are not visible, you can access the toolbars and click ‘View’ from the menu, then select ‘Toolbars’ and choose the menu options you want from the toolbar.
The Market Watch window provides real-time quotes. You can right click on the desire pair for the context menu.
The Navigator window provides quick access for your specifications (eg. Accounts, indicators, expert advisors). You will be able to add indicators to chart windows as well as expert advisors, custom indicators and scripts. The Navigator window shows all the available tools for you.
The terminal window provides quick access to account and trading history. Each line in the terminal tab is interactive with options by right clicking on the item.
In MT4, the chart window plots the real-time prices of a selected trading instrument on a graph, providing a snapshot of market movements over a particular period of time.
MARKET WATCH WINDOW
Market Watch Menu Options:
New order – open/close a position or place a new pending order.
Chart window – shows the chart for the selected pair.
Tick Chart – shows the tick chart for the selected pair.
Hide – removes the specified pair from window.
Hide all – removes all symbols which are not used from the list in the window (eg. If you have an open position or charts, its symbols will not be deleted).
Show all – displays all available symbols in the window as previously explained above.
Symbols – shows the window where you can manage all symbols simultaneously.
Sets – saves/loads/deletes the custom setting for the window.
High/Low – display columns with the highest/lowest prices for each pair.
Time – displays the column with the arrival time of the latest quote for each pair.
Auto Arrange – when unticked, it will allow you to freely rearrange the order of the currency pairs.
5.Open a New Position
To open a new position, simply double-click the instrument you wish to trade with and it will open a New Order Window. If you can not see the Market Watch window, simply activate it by going to the View tab and clicking on Market Watch.
The Order window can be opened by double-clicking on one of the Symbols from the Market Watch Window, or right-click and select New Order.
A new window appears as shown below:
Symbol: Select the symbol for the instrument in which the order is intended to be placed. This will be the active chart by default or the instrument of the chart where the new order is selected from.
Volume: Order size in lots. For more information on contract specifications, please refer to our website.
Stop Loss: Set the level of stop loss for pending orders.
Take Profit: Set the level of
take profit for pending orders.
Comment: Set the comment which will be linked to the order.
Type: Set the order type either ‘Market Execution’ or ‘Pending Order’.
Market Execution: Market price quoted for placing Market Execution orders.
6.Close an Existing Position
Open positions on MT4 Terminal can be closed through Order window which can be opened by double-clicking on the open position which is to be closed in the Terminal window, or
alternatively by right-clicking on the position, select Modify or Delete Order and then change the Type to Market Execution. The following should be shown on the screen.
Closing the entire position:
Leave the Volume field as it is, it already shows the total volume for the position.
Partially Closing (closing only a part of the position):
Enter the lot size on the Volume field in which is to be closed. This must be equal to or less than the size of the position and incremental of the minimum order size.
And then finally select Close button to complete the closing of the position.
If the close order is successful, the closed position should be available to view in the Terminal window under the Account History tab.
